Bankhead MARTA

In October 2022, a Peebles-controlled joint venture was awarded the Bankhead MARTA development project. Bankhead MARTA is located at the Bankhead Station of the existing Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (“MARTA”) property. The project, encompassing 3.8 acres of land along with air-rights above the Bankhead MARTA rail station, will be redeveloped as a mixed-use transit-oriented community in the center of the Bankhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. The rail station is adjacent to Microsoft’s proposed 90-acre campus and is a half-mile southeast of Westside Park. The plan includes approximately 490+ multi-family housing units with about 30% of the units designated as affordable. The concept also includes retail, hotel, office, parking, and over one acre of open space.

108 Leonard Street

An affiliate of The Peebles Corporation purchased the largest building ever sold by the city of New York as part of a joint venture. The Clock Tower Building, originally the home office of the New York Life Insurance Company, was built between 1894 and 1899. Designed by world renowned architects McKim, Mead & White, whose designs for the first Madison Square Garden and Pennsylvania Station set the aesthetic standard in turn-of-the-century New York, the building retains many of New York Life’s original interior spaces, including a marble lobby, a 13-story stair hall, a banking hall, executive offices, and the clock tower machinery room. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and both the exterior and interior were designated New York City landmarks in 1987. This historic Tribeca building has retained its magnificent beaux-art façade amidst the successful conversion to 167 luxury residences, with sales prices exceeding $3,000 per square foot. The building features exquisite amenities, including a rooftop lounge and indoor pool, as well as on-site parking and expansive community space.
