1. Scope of this Policy

This policy applies to information collected through FREC-operated websites, forms and administrative systems. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of third-party websites or services that may be linked from FREC, including payment processors, social networks, member websites or external capital and public-sector partners.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

Depending on how you engage with FREC, we may collect:

• name, title, company, email address, telephone number and business address;
• membership tier, application information, committee interests, membership status and related administrative records;
• partner or sponsor information, organization type, areas of interest, capital preferences and relationship notes;
• development-project information, including project name, location, development category, stage, cost, capital needs, unit counts, square footage, website links, renderings, photographs and other information submitted through the Sponsor Pipeline or member-profile system;
• newsletter subscriptions, communication preferences and responses to FREC outreach; and
• information you voluntarily provide in messages, forms, uploaded files or direct communications with FREC.

Payment and subscription information

Membership payments may be processed by Stripe or another authorized payment provider. FREC may receive and retain transaction identifiers, Stripe customer or subscription IDs, payment status, amount, payment date, renewal information and similar accounting records. FREC does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes in the website database.

Technical and security information

Our servers and security controls may process IP addresses, browser or device information, timestamps, requested pages, session information, referral or campaign parameters, and security or rate-limiting data. This information is used to operate the website, prevent abuse, diagnose problems and protect FREC systems.

3. How We Use Information

FREC may use information to:

• process and administer membership applications, dues, renewals and member records;
• maintain the public member directory and publish information a member or administrator has approved for public display;
• review development opportunities and facilitate introductions among developers, lenders, equity providers, public agencies, corporations and other potential partners;
• respond to contact and partnership inquiries;
• operate committees, programs, events, advocacy initiatives and member services;
• send transactional notices, membership reminders, Chamber announcements and other communications;
• maintain financial, compliance, security and administrative records; and
• improve FREC’s website, services, programming and member experience.

4. Public Member and Project Information

FREC maintains a public directory of participating organizations and may publish approved company profiles, membership tiers, company websites, development focus, geographic focus, selected representatives, and featured development projects. Private dashboard fields—such as personal email addresses, telephone numbers and internal business addresses—are not intended for public display unless separately authorized.

Project information submitted through the Sponsor Pipeline is maintained separately from the public website. A project is not automatically made public merely because it was submitted to the Sponsor Pipeline. FREC administrators may selectively import approved project information into a member’s public profile or Featured Developments page.

5. How Information May Be Shared

FREC does not sell personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: with hosting, database, email-delivery, payment-processing, security and technology providers that support FREC operations;
• FREC administration: with authorized staff, officers, committee leaders or contractors who require access for legitimate Chamber functions;
• Introductions and opportunities: where a member, sponsor, developer or partner submits information for the purpose of being considered for financing, partnership, public-sector opportunity or another business introduction, FREC may share relevant business information with selected counterparties consistent with that purpose;
• Legal and safety requirements: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, enforce agreements, investigate misuse, protect rights or security, or respond to lawful governmental requests; and
• Organizational transactions: if FREC undergoes a reorganization or transfers responsibility for a program or digital platform, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

6. Email and Marketing Preferences

FREC may send operational communications related to membership, payments, applications, project submissions, events or requested services. Marketing or newsletter communications may include an unsubscribe mechanism where required or appropriate. Unsubscribing from promotional messages does not prevent FREC from sending necessary transactional or administrative communications.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

FREC uses essential session and security technologies needed for login, form integrity, fraud prevention and website functionality. Third-party services integrated with the website may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their respective policies.

8. Data Security

FREC uses administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including restricted dashboard access, password hashing, session protections, anti-spam and rate-limiting controls, protected file storage, activity logging, encrypted storage for configured SMTP credentials, and payment processing through specialized third-party providers. No Internet-connected system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should avoid submitting information that is unnecessary for the requested purpose.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer membership and programs, maintain project and relationship history, meet accounting or legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate Chamber operations. Retention periods may vary by record type.

10. Your Choices and Requests

You may contact FREC to request reasonable access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you. Certain records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, membership-history or contractual purposes. Rights may vary depending on applicable law and your relationship with FREC.

11. Children’s Privacy

FREC’s website and membership services are intended for business and professional audiences and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through these services.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The website may link to member companies, government agencies, payment providers, social networks or other external services. FREC is not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of third parties. Review their policies before providing information directly to them.

13. Changes to this Policy

FREC may update this Privacy Policy as its programs, technology or legal obligations evolve. The “Last updated” date above identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or other appropriate channels.
